About TEFGA

The Transportation Education Foundation of Georgia (TEFGA) was formed in 2007 as a non-profit organization partnering with the Georgia Department of Education and industry to create awareness for transportation education and career opportunities. TEFGA strives to engage business and industry, instructors and students in the ever-changing arena of transportation. By highlighting the job choices in automotive, aviation and maritime TEFGA has allowed students to expand their horizons and realize the career opportunities available in the transportation field.

TEFGA Supports Transportation Education in Georgia:

  • The Transportation Education Foundation of Georgia (TEFGA) was formed in 2007 as a non-profit organization partnering with the Georgia Department of Education and industry to create awareness for transportation education and career opportunities. TEFGA strives to engage business and industry, instructors and students in the ever-changing arena of transportation. By highlighting the job choices in automotive, aviation and maritime TEFGA has allowed students to expand their horizons and realize the career opportunities available in the transportation field.
  • Facilitating career exploration opportunities for students in transportation venues across the state.
  • Providing work-based learning options for students through internship and apprenticeship programs.
  • Striving to constantly raise the standards of transportation career pathways education and ensure Georgia students receive rigorous training.
  • Supporting local school systems in staffing, training, and certifying teachers and programs through conference and seminars.
  • Establishing partnerships between local businesses and school systems with certified programs that will train the workforce of tomorrow.
  • Hosting competitive events that bring students from around the state to compete in their chosen field.
